Gordon-Levitt and Deschanel sign on for "500 Days"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel will star in the anti-romantic comedy "500 Days of Summer."

Minka Kelly also has joined the cast of the Fox Searchlight film.

Written by Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber, "Summer" is an examination of a relationship between a woman (Deschanel) who doesn't believe in love and the man (Gordon-Levitt) who falls hopelessly in love with her.

Kelly, who stars on NBC's "Friday Night Lights," plays a character who the man meets while awaiting a job interview. Also co-starring in the movie are Rachel Boston, Clark Gregg, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Chloe Moretz.

"Summer" marks the feature debut of music video director Marc Webb.

Gordon-Levitt was last seen in "Stop-Loss" and plays the Cobra Commander in "G.I. Joe."

Deschanel will next be seen in M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening."
